BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS INCUBATOR,
WINGSPRING, HIRES CHIEF PEOPLE GURU
Christine Legg, formerly of Distribution Dynamics,
Joins as VP of Human Resources
PLEASANTON, CA (June 20, 2000) Wingspring,
a new business-oriented incubator driven by the goal of dramatically
accelerating time to market and significantly increasing market
success of the companies it incubates, had a strategic purpose in
developing its 35,000 square foot state-of-the-art Incubation and
Technology Center in commuter-friendly Pleasanton. By situating
its full-service incubation facilities in close proximity to the
extensive pool of talent in the San Francisco-Silicon Valley-Contra
Costa high tech triangle, Wingspring can recruit more outstanding
talent, such as Christine Legg, who recently joined Wingspring as
Chief People Guru. Legg fulfills the role of Vice President of Human
Resources for Wingspring by managing all aspects of people recruitment,
development and retention to Wingspring and its portfolio companies.
"As Chief People Guru for Wingspring, I plan
to play a key role in the development and acceleration of our portfolio
companies," said Legg. "We are extremely dedicated to our recruitment
efforts, for example, we have already hired a dynamic in-house recruiting
team that is exceeding the industry standard for efficiently hiring
outstanding talent."
Currently, Legg manages seven full-time Wingspring
recruiters that work at the Incubator; and the staff is growing
weekly. These in-house recruiters focus on hiring the 'best and
brightest' employees for Wingspring's portfolio companies.
Formerly Senior Vice President of Human Resources
for Distribution Dynamics, Inc., a leading provider of logistical
supply solutions to OEMs, Legg brings extensive experience to Wingspring.
While at Distribution Dyanmics, Inc. Legg was successful in establishing
numerous nationwide programs which were essential to the company's
financial and cultural success following its six acquisitions. Prior
to joining DDI, Christine held several senior human resources positions
in the Silicon Valley, including Director of Human Resources for
Digital Video Systems, a commercial electronics company. She was
also Senior HR Consultant for Interim HR Solutions, where she worked
with more than 30 pre-IPO, emerging growth companies and affiliates,
including Wired Ventures, Puma Technology and Venture Law Group.
